Why the St. Joseph distance matters
St. Joseph is where the Chiefs hold training camp. If you are coming up for that, you are 15 minutes away from it and staying on thirty acres instead of beside a highway.
St. Joseph is also where Bell’s Bakehouse is. We have started working with them to bring breakfast out to the ranch, made to order, about $50 for two. Mediterranean, properly plated. Ask when you book.
What you are driving to
Thirty acres, mostly off the grid. Solar carries the electricity and a geothermal loop carries the heat and the cooling. There is no gas line to this property. The only utility bill we got in 2026 was $50, in February.
Scottish Highland cattle in the pasture, ponds stocked with bluegill, crappie and bass, a bonfire pit ringed with rustic limestone boulders by the water, and an eight-person hot tub on the covered patio.
Rooms
Three of them, $125 to $175 a night, or $375 for all three. Every room has its own private bath with a heated bidet and 36-inch doorways. The Queen Suite on the lower level has zero-entry access with no steps at all.
