Ten comfortably across the three rooms. Eleven if you need it, with six in the East Wing and the twin bed in the West Wing.
The whole house is $375 a night for all three rooms, 940 square feet. Individually the rooms are $125 to $175.
Why groups end up here
Thirty acres and no neighbors close enough to bother. Everybody gets their own bath, so ten people is not ten people queueing for a bathroom. And there is enough outside that a group spreads out instead of stacking up in one room.
There are ponds stocked with bluegill, crappie and bass. A bonfire pit ringed with rustic limestone boulders next to the water, with room around it. An eight-person hot tub on the covered patio. A Traeger pellet grill and smoker, and a full kitchen everybody shares.
The part that surprises people
There is no television in the guest rooms and not much signal. We did that on purpose. The first evening is usually a little restless and by the second one nobody has picked up a phone in an hour.
Selah means pause and reflect. Groups feel that faster than couples do, because they came to be with each other and the ranch stops competing for their attention.
If somebody in the group has trouble with steps
The Queen Suite on the lower level has zero-entry access, no steps, and a 36-inch doorway. Upstairs is one 8-inch step in, and all the doors up there are 36 inches as well. We can add ramp access to the upper level if you tell us ahead of time.
We are 45 minutes north of Kansas City and 15 minutes from St. Joseph.
